The WC7SO repeater is owned by the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office and is administered by the WCSO ACS.  The WCSO ACS is the primary volunteer communications organization that provides incidental and emergency technical and operational communications support to Whatcom County government.  The repeater is available for any radio amateur to use, regardless of organizational affiliation.  During time of emergency or training operation the repeater may be restricted to WCSO and Blaine ACS and supporting agency use.

The WCSO-ACS also operates a dRATS email gateway with Internet and simplex ports that is in testing now but generally available 24/7  The simplex frequency is 145.750 and the output power is 25 watts in to a 6db antenna at 180 ft ASL in downtown Bellingham.  The internet port address is wc7so.ham-radio-op.net:9000
